Today’s topic is, How to utilize time during lockdown..??

Well, as I told in my last blog that because of some reasons I wasn’t able to land in Canada i.e. in the month of March and then lock down happened. Before this I was so happy because it feels surreal when your dream comes true and I have really worked hard to get this opportunity. I am sure those who were ready to travel to Canada but because of some reason wasn’t able to fly can really understand my feeling.

I was doing shopping and had informed in my office that I will be traveling at the end of next month i.e. April but on 20^th march my office got closed and, we were asked to leave. I thought that it will hardly take 1-2 weeks to over and meanwhile I will get some time to spend with my family.

Well in short, I came home and then lock down extended. Initially I got disappointed because I felt nothing is happening as per my plan but later I realized that i should feel blessed that I am safe and my family is safe. There is so much going on around the world every day and it’s very disheartening.

So I decided to utilize this time by upgrading myself, I have good knowledge of data analysis, I registered for IBM data science Professional certification course and completed in one month  because I had good knowledge about the subject only I needed to complete all assignments and finish  modules. I would like to suggest to those who are aspiring to come to Canada to get some certifications during this period because when you apply for job in Canada, they have some filter system to fetch resumes. If you mention some certifications then chances are better. Therefore, I would recommend getting some certifications and I feel knowledge never goes waste, so upgrade yourself to compete in the job market.

After this, I started researching and got to know so much about jobs in Canada and one of them is web development, it is in demand and I didn’t have good knowledge about this field because data science is all about data nothing is related to web development. Now challenge was really big but I decided to prepare for web development. Well I know you must be thinking that is it that easy but believe me nothing is difficult in this world only thing is that you must have strong conviction to achieve your dreams and nothing could stop you.

Well it’s been two weeks and I am working whole day long to grab knowledge as much as possible. Soon, I would share some of my work. Well, moral of the story is don’t sit ideal or those who are working from home just excel your skills. If you are from technical background then improve your technical skills and if you have non-tech background then also whatsoever comes in your domain improve. Don’t get disappointed, soon this pandemic will over and life will be normal.
